Whether it’s in our local community of Cincinnati or with an international organization like A Child’s Hope In’l., we here at Queen City Care believe in giving back. This past Saturday, June 1st was World Hunger Day. Did you know that an eighth of the world’s population lives in extreme poverty? That equates to over 180 million people. The organization A Child’s Hope In’l has set a goal of doubling the nearly 10,000 meals they deliver every day to help alleviate this worldwide problem.
To help them reach their goal and support the fight against child starvation, Queen City Care workers, including Co-Founders Mark and Michele Vollmer along with the Director of Client Services Vicki McIntyre and Social Worker Jennifer Brock, helped package high protein meals to be shipped to starving children around the world. By the end of the day, all the volunteers packaged over 137,000 meals! It was a fulfilling and worthwhile experience.
